A moral tale for mainly moral people.
Caught serving after hours, a publican tries to talk himself out of trouble with his tale of military service in the desert.
Drawing on some of Flann O’Brien’s most recognisable and admired works of fiction, together with his witheringly funny play, Thirst (and other bits of Flann) includes excerpts from The Dalkey Archive, Drink and Time in Dublin and The Trade, showcasing the incisive humour and linguistic dexterity of O’Brien’s incomparable comic genius.
Thirst (and other bits of Flann) is developed by and stars four of Ireland’s leading actors, Garrett Lombard, Aaron Monaghan, Rory Nolan and Marty Rea.
Presented as part of the Avolon Winter Season at the Abbey Theatre.
