The Best New Play category sees nominations for three plays which premiered on Abbey Street: Citysong, This Beautiful Village and Dublin Will Show You How. And if you missed This Beautiful Village last year, catch it again when it returns for an Abbey Stage run this summer, before embarking on a six-venue national tour.

Citysong and Dublin Will Show You How also feature in the Best Supporting Actress category. Amy Conroy gets a nod for her portrayal of Fionn and other characters in Dylan Coburn Gray’s Citysong, which toured to Soho Theatre in London and the Galway International Arts Festival; while Liz Fitzgibbon has been nominated for the roles of Josie and others in Dublin Will Show You How, our co-production with The Complex.

The Abbey also features prominently in the design categories for shows including Citysong, Drama at Inish, Redemption Falls, In Our Veins and It was wasy (in the end).

Finally, we are very proud of the support we gave to The Big Chapel X which has been nominated for three awards including Best Production.

The awards ceremony will take place in early April and we look forward to celebrating another great year of Irish theatre with our friends and colleagues across the country.
