6 - 27 June 2020

Booking Information

Dates: 6 – 27 June

As rehearsals were due to start in May, we will not be in a place to meet the scheduled dates for our Abbey Stage run. These two weeks are postponed.

If you held a ticket for an affected performance, our box office team will be in touch. Please do not contact the box office directly. There are a lot of orders to rearrange, but rest assured that we will be in touch with every ticket holder. We greatly appreciate your patience, as we work to update each customer individually.

Following its sold-out premiere in 2019, This Beautiful Village returns to the Abbey Stage, followed by a national tour.

‘Paul, darlin’, this isn’t a democracy. It’s a residents association.’

On a quiet street in leafy, suburban Dublin, local residents meet about a piece of graffiti.

Who did it? What does it mean? And what’s to be done about it? They have wine and a quorum. Nothing can go wrong.

This Beautiful Village is a razor-sharp play that exposes every side of what it means to co-exist in Ireland today. Set over one night, six people will confront their pride, prejudice and privilege.

It won’t be pretty. But it could be beautiful.

Out of the Abbey

The national tour to Galway, Sligo, Cork, Limerick, Wexford and Belfast is currently still on track to go ahead as planned. We will update you on any changes to schedules in due course.
