The Abbey Theatre is delighted to welcome Martyna Majok to host a three-hour workshop and peer to peer conversation on craft and life as a playwright, co-facilitated with Tanya Dean, Abbey Theatre Script Associate.  

Martyna Majok Writers’ Workshop

Martyna Majok was born in Bytom, Poland and raised in New Jersey and Chicago. She was awarded the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her play, Cost of Living, which debuted on Broadway in 2022 and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play 2023. Other plays include Sanctuary City, Queens, and Ironbound, which opens at the Abbey Theatre on the Peacock Stage in October.

The workshop is open to playwrights at any stage of their career. It is free, with limited places available.
