The Crucible tells the story of one man’s fight to save his identity in a repressive Puritan community where intolerance collides with lust and superstition, fuelling widespread hysteria with tragic results.

Written more than 70 years ago, The Crucible speaks clearly to our modern world, where we continue to bear witness to the horrors of terror and persecution. Arthur Miller’s play is both profoundly chilling while also deeply hopeful.
