Join us for a Special Centenary Pre-Show Reception
This event is for existing patrons and those interested in learning more about supporting the Abbey Theatre as a patron.
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first performance of The Plough and the Stars by Sean O’Casey with a pre-show reception and a viewing of this very special play.
First staged at the Abbey in 1926, this defining work of Irish theatre returns 100 years on, its portrayal of a city in revolution as gripping and relevant as ever.
This exclusive event will feature a pre-show drinks reception, followed by an intimate fireside discussion with renowned director, Tom Creed, led by Abbey Theatre Senior Producer, Craig Flaherty.
Tom will share unique insights into his approach to this landmark text and his creative direction behind this new production, before you get to see his vision come to life on stage.
This event will be a unique opportunity to engage more deeply with the artistic process, connect with fellow supporters, and celebrate a milestone moment in the Abbey’s history.
