Pre-show reception & talk on The Boy at the Abbey Theatre
Join us on October 6th for a special evening in celebration of our world premiere of Marina Carr’s, The Boy: A Two-Play Theatrical Event part of the 2025 Dublin Theatre Festival.
As part of this exclusive Patron Event, you’ll enjoy a conversation between two of Ireland’s most acclaimed theatre-makers: Caitríona McLaughlin, director of the play and Artistic Director/Co-Director of the Abbey Theatre, and playwright Marina Carr, writer of this powerful new work.
Together, they’ll offer a unique behind-the-scenes look at the creative process from the writing of the text to the vision behind the staging and share personal insights into bringing The Boy to life. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the artists about the inspirations, challenges, and decisions that shaped this extraordinary production.
