Across the Abbey Theatre’s social media outlets, we want to create an open and safe platform where we can engage with audiences, organisations, artists, participants, and communities.

We have several guidelines across our social platforms:

  • We openly invite and encourage debate, discussion, engagement and interaction about the Abbey Theatre’s work.
  • We would appreciate that comments, posts and content are kept respectful.
  • We will not tolerate without exception any disparaging and/or inappropriate language, hate speech, personal attacks, spamming and trolling.
  • We will not tolerate any posts or comments that include inappropriate graphic content.
  • We may remove comments and posts that violate our social media guidelines, including the banning of users.
  • We monitor our social platforms during working hours (9:30am – 5:30pm GMT, Monday – Friday). The Abbey Theatre is closed on Irish Bank Holidays.
  • We will try to respond to enquiries as soon as we can within the Abbey Theatre’s working hours.

We post and monitor platforms across FacebookInstagramTwitterLinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
