Our café, Pegeen’s will be open from 10am to 5pm on Sunday the 15th of March to welcome people with warm drinks, tasty snacks and a cosy location to recharge before heading back out into the festival.
On the same day, we will be running six very special National Theatre Tours which will give you the opportunity to learn more about the people who created the Abbey in 1904, the history of the theatre and what happens behind the scenes to bring the best of Irish drama and stories to the stage. Find out more here.
Downstairs in the Peacock, we’re delighted to welcome storytellers and musicians from Ireland, Japan and New Zealand for an afternoon of music, stories and craic at 2pm while that evening, Little John Nee and Hugh Cooney will entertain their audience with stories, old and new at 7pm – tickets available here.
Upstairs in the Abbey’s rehearsal room, we will be running four Your Roots, Your Story workshops, where you can bring your family stories to life through storytelling with theatre expert, Phil Kingston. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to dive into your family history and memories.
We look forward to welcoming you to the National Theatre of Ireland this St. Patrick’s weekend. You can find out more about the broader St. Patrick’s Festival here.
