The Abbey Theatre has been awarded a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2025. This places the National Theatre of Ireland in the top ten per cent of attractions worldwide, reflecting the Abbey’s commitment to an elevated and memorable visitor experience.  

Based on the reviews and opinions of millions of travellers from around the world, the award reflects the real-life experiences of travellers who have visited the National Theatre of Ireland to witness the best of Irish storytelling on the Abbey and Peacock stages. The award also captures visitors who have taken a National Theatre Tour, which were recently refreshed and relaunched.  

Now running every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, taking around 60 minutes, the revitalised tours immerse visitors in the creative world and processes that bring brilliant plays to life. Highlighting how directors, designers and makers bring shows from the page to the stage, visitors walk in the footsteps of literary and theatrical legends while exploring key parts of the building.
