As our 2017 Grand Slam Champion, Daisy McCarthy says “Dublin can be a lonely and an overwhelming place but an evening at the Dublin Story Slam shows it’s made up of millions of stories, some funny, some sad, all of which in some magical way, connect us together.”

The Dublin Story Slam is an open mic storytelling night that strives to bring people together through our shared stories. Each month at our open mic storytelling nights, we invite members of the audience to share personal true stories onstage and compete for the title of Story Slam Champion.

On 22nd June, 8 of these Story Slam Champions will be invited back to share brand new stories inspired by the theme, The Gift. Hosted by comedian & author Colm O’Regan, you can expect a night filled with laughter, surprises and an occasional happy tear or two, as we come together to share our own true stories onstage at the Abbey Theatre and discover who will be crowned our Summer Grand Slam Champion 2025.
