Step inside the world of The Whiteheaded Boy as it returns to the Abbey Theatre for its 110th anniversary
We’re opening the doors early for an intimate Patron gathering that brings you closer to one of the great pillars of the Irish stage, The Whiteheaded Boy. First performed at the Abbey in 1916, Lennox Robinson’s much loved classic will return this summer to captivate audiences.
Enjoy a pre-show drinks reception before joining director Annie Ryan in conversation with Abbey Theatre Head of Producing, Jen Coppinger. Annie will open the door to her creative process from key artistic decisions to discoveries unfolding inside the rehearsal room, offering an exclusive insight into how this new production took shape.
This gathering is part of the Abbey Theatre’s Patron Programme, created to bring our closest supporters and those considering joining them into the heart of the artistic process.
Support from our Patrons plays a vital role in nurturing Irish artists, developing new work, and ensuring the Abbey remains a vibrant cultural home for future generations.
