A Gina Moxley and Abbey Theatre co-production, in association with Pan Pan

The Patient Gloria (Brighton)

5 - 9 May 2020

by Gina Moxley

Booking Information

Due to the cancellation of the Brighton Festival 2020, The Patient Gloria will not be travelling to Brighton. We are looking at future touring possibilities.

Gina Moxley’s ‘experimental extravaganza’ was a must-see hit at last year's Edinburgh Fringe, winning multiple awards. Now it is off to the Brighton Festival.

WINNER – 2019 Scotsman Fringe First Award
WINNER – 2019 Herald Angel Award

Inspired by the 1965 films Three Approaches To Psychotherapy (The Gloria films), this provocative and upfront meditation on therapy and female desire, in a new political context where misogyny is the winning ticket, is a mash-up of re-enactment, real footage, lived experience and a punk gig.

An experimental extravaganza featuring ‘the bawdiest performance of the year’, The Patient Gloria is ‘very funny, very explicit and very sobering’. And therapeutic. It’s very therapeutic.

5 – 9 May 2020 at Theatre Royal Brighton, as part of Brighton Festival
