In this new Irish language show, One Two One Two and Shaun Dunne are taking inspiration from the city and the opera Carmen to create an exciting new story of love, death and freedom.

Tá teannas. There’s tension.

Tá teannas idir na fir agus na mná. There’s tension between the men and the women.

Tá teannas idir gach éinne. There’s tension between everyone.

Níl fhios againn cén fáth. We don’t know why.

Éist Liom (Listen to Me) is a relationship drama that ends in murder. It’s in Irish, but you don’t need to speak Irish to understand.

Is dráma caidrimh é Éist Liom, a bhfuil dúnmharú mar chríoch leis. Tá sé as Gaeilge ach ní gá an teanga a labhairt chun é a mhothú.

As part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2020, One Two One Two and Shaun Dunne are creating their own interpretation of a classic story in a language that they love.
