What is the procedure for latecomers?
We will do our best to accommodate patrons who arrive late, however this depends on the availability of seats close to the entry routes and the policy with each production, as obviously we cannot be disruptive to the actors on stage or the audience.
Evening performances on the Abbey stage start time at 7.30pm, Saturday matinee performances start at 2.00pm.
Evening performances on the Peacock stage start time at 8.00pm, Saturday matinee performances start at 2.30pm.
Please ensure you leave sufficient time to get to the theatre on time.
If a customer leaves during the performance why can’t they to be readmitted?
If people were coming and going throughout a performance this would prove disruptive to both the actors on stage and the audience. We pride ourselves in providing an uninterrupted theatre experience.
Can I buy scripts/programmes from past performances?
A limited amount of past scripts and programmes are available from the coffee bar located in the foyer. Should you require a particular script that is not in stock please contact a member of the Front of House team.
Why can’t I take pictures?
Any kind of photography is disruptive to both the performers on stage and the audience. The set and costumes of any production are the copyright of the designers who designed them. No images of these can be taken unless consent is given by the designers or the press and marketing departments of the Abbey, where it has been agreed that such images will only be used to publicise and promote the show or the Abbey.
