World Premiere
Jean and Kevin vowed they would never part.
A lifetime later, one January afternoon in a small harbour town, their paths cross once again; a chance encounter between two stray souls who discover they are still as deeply connected as they are strangers to one another.
The East Pier is a poignant and insightful portrait into the dreams, fears, failings and opportunities that course through our lives.
Enjoy The East Pier as a companion piece to The Passing, Paul Mercier’s other play in this new season at the Abbey.
Why not see both plays in our special Saturday double bills? You can see one play at a matinee performance at 2pm and one in the evening at 7.30pm on the same day.
Special ticket offer of €40 – €55 or €26 – €36 concession.

Really gripping performances from Andrea Irvine and Don Wycherley. It is a play that packs a real emotional punch. Credit also to the excellant set design that added to the realism of the story.
