A tender and very funny tale about our secret selves

‘It’s amazing the things you can not say to someone when they’re in the bed beside you. it’s amazing the things you can keep to yourself’

Laura has a secret.
Joe’s has been found out.
Peg’s been keeping hers for years.

No Romance is a tender and funny tale about our secret selves. Rich with the absurdities, hypocrisies and vulnerabilities that course through our lives, it playfully observes the search for connection in a fractured world.

‘Why all of a sudden does everybody have to know everything about each other? When did we decide that unless we divulge every tiny detail of every stupid thought that we have, every minute of the day, that we’re not living a proper life? When did that become love?’

An Abbey Theatre commission

Superb.  Great writing, great acting.  When is someone going to give Natalie Radmall-Quirke an award?

Really enjoyed this. The travel was worth it. Great acting especially in part 3. Will hope it comes over here and will go again.

Excellent acting, very intense and powerful, real stories of real people. I would love to see it again.
