During the month of April each year One City, One Book encourages everyone to read the same book. The chosen book for April 2011 is Ghost Light by Joseph O’Connor.
To celebrate and add to the discussions around Ghost Light, the Abbey Theatre is pleased to host a public reading of Deirdre of the Sorrows by J.M. Synge directed by Jim Culleton and introduced by Joe O’Connor in the Abbey rehearsal room.
This last play by Synge was unfinished at the time of his death.
