Seán’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes IRA Leader in The Big House, Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible, George Bernard Shaw in Good Evening, Mr Collins and a Murderer in Macbeth. Other theatre credits include Banquo in Macbeth (Olympia), Hastings in Richard III, Hector in Troilus and Cressida (Samuel Beckett Centre), Seán Russell in Submarine (Bewley’s Cafe Theatre), John in Twelve Treatises (Theatre@36), Malcolm in Macbeth, Dionysus in The Bacchae, Samuel Pepys in The Diary of Mrs Pepys (Gloucestershire Everyman Theatre), Ralph Clark in Our Country’s Good and Jordan Knockem in Bartholomew Fair (Bristol Old Vic). Television credits include My Boy Jack, Fair City, The Clinic and Fallout. On radio he played Fabian in Twelfth Night (BBC) and Dr Gilligan in Jook for Mrs McKeown (RTÉ). Seán trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where roles included Trigorin in Thomas Kilroy’s version of The Seagull and Aimwell in The Beaux’ Stratagem.
