Sabine Dargent

Sabine’s work with the Abbey Theatre includes B for Baby, The Bacchae of Baghdad and The Importance of Being Earnest. Other work includes Penelope, The New Electric Ballroom, The Walworth Farce for which she won an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Set Design (Druid), Strandline, The Pride of Parnell St (Fishamble, Dublin, London, New Haven), Ghosts, for which she won an ESB/Irish Times Design Award for Best Set Design, Monged, Pilgrims in the Park, Tadhg Stray Wandered In (Fishamble), City Fusion (St Patrick’s Parade), Days of Wine and Roses The Lonesome West (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), Antigone, Hard to Believe (Storytellers), Circus (Barabbas, Dublin, New Haven), Henry and Harriet , To Have and to Hold (Kabosh, Belfast), Dublin Carol (Everyman Palace, Cork), How Many Miles to Babylon?, The Merchant of Venice, A Doll’s House (Second Age), The Shadow of the Glen, The Tinker’s Wedding (Big Telly), Martha, Little Rudolf (Barnstorm), Jack Fell Down, Burning Dreams, Last Call (TEAM), The Tempest (Blue Raincoat), Desert Lullaby (Galloglass) and Hysteria (b*spoke). Sabine has also worked with Theatre á Grande Vitesse, Theatre de Chatillon, L’Epee de Bois, Theatre de Gennevilliers and Theatre l’Ultime and co, all in Paris.
