Ruth McGill

Ruth’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes Chris Deliver Us!, The Last Days of a Reluctant Tyrant and The Cherry Orchard. Other theatre work includes Macbecks (Olympia Theatre), Everybody Loves Sylvia, Fewer Emergencies, The Drowned World, The Illusion and Eeeugh!topia (Randolph SD | The Company), Alice in Funderland (Thisispopbaby), Freefall and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (The Corn Exchange), All in the Timing (Inis Theatre), The Turn of the Screw (Storytellers), Can You Catch a Mermaid? (Pavillion Theatre), Sweeney Todd (Gate Theatre), Woyzeck (Rough Magic Seeds) and The Shaughraun (Albery Theatre, London). Ruth is also a trained soprano and has co-devised and performed three cabaret shows with her company; Songspiel: Songspiel (Cobalt Café), Neues Songspiel (Bewley’s Café Theatre) and Songspiel – Still Unplugged (Cobalt Café). Film and television credits include The Clinic and Love/Hate (RTÉ), Leap Year (Universal Pictures), What Richard Did (Element Pictures) and Wonder House (Reel Art Scheme). She graduated from the Professional Acting Programme at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin.
