Phelim’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes Curse of the Starving Class, Bookworms (2010), The Seafarer, The Rivals, The Playboy of the Western World in a new version by Bisi Adigun and Roddy Doyle, The Crucible , A Doll’s House, The Shaughraun, Portia Coughlan, Heavenly Bodies, She Stoops to Conquer, A Whistle in the Dark, Hinterland, The Cherry Orchard, The Playboy of the Western World, Prayers of Sherkin and The Wake. Other theatre work includes All That Fall (Pan Pan), John Bull’s Other Island, The Plough and the Stars and Borstal Boy (Gaiety Theatre), Breaking Up (The Passion Machine), Cheapside (Druid), The Life Of Galileo (Almeida, London), The Recruiting Officer and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lyceum, Edinburgh), Love and a Bottle (Rough Magic), Brothers of the Brush (Unicorn Arts Theatre, London), Judas (Kilkenny Arts Festival), Two Rooms (The Focus), Salomé, Rough for Theatre One, Rough for Theatre Two as part of the first Beckett Festival, Pride and Prejudice, Present Laughter, The Double Dealer, She Stoops to Conquer, Moonlight as part of the first Pinter Festival, and Thérèse Racquin (Gate Theatre). Television and film credits include The Clinic, Val Falvey TD, Making the Cut (RTÉ), Sharpe and Rough Diamond (BBC), The Ambassador and Sharpe’s Battle (ITV), The Escapist, My Left Foot, The Commitments, Angela’s Ashes and King Arthur. Phelim attended the Gaiety School of Acting.
