Mary Murray

Mary’s last appearance at the Abbey Theatre was in Alice Trilogy by Tom Murphy for which she won an Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress. Other theatre work includes Boss Grady’s Boys (Gaiety Theatre), Off Plan (RAW), Twelve Days in May (Liberty Hall), Macbecks (Long Road), The Pride of Parnell Street for which she won Best Actress Award at the MAMCA Awards and Best Actress Award at the First Irish Theatre Festival, New York (Fishamble), Macbeth (Second Age), Sleeping Beauty (Landmark), Operation Easter (Calypso), Family Stories (b*spoke), Sister (Visions Productions), Oh When the Hoops (Liberty Productions), Playing Politics (Dublin Theatre Festival), Bog Boy, Knocknashee (Tall Tales), The Grapes Of Wrath (Storytellers), On Raftery’s Hill (Druid/Royal Court), Give Us a Break and The Shadow of a Gunman (Tobarnarun). Her film and television credits include Death of a Salesman, Super Hero, Thor: The Edda Chronicles (animation), Consawtina Effect, Situations Vacant, El Juego del Ahorcado, Little White Lie, Eamon, Prosperity, Frankie, Bitterness, What If?, King of Nothing, Adam and Paul, W.C., The Magdalene Sisters, On the Edge, Accelerator, Crushproof, A Great Party, Recoil, The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife, The Very Stuff, ER, Fair City, Love is the Drug, The Big Bow Wow, Ambassador and Random Passage. Mary is director of Visions Drama School and also an award-winning singer
