Mark’s previous work at the Abbey Theatre includes Twelfth Night and An Ideal Husband. At the Lyric Theatre he has appeared in Death of a Salesman. Other theatre work includes Dubliners (Gaiety Theatre), Hayfever, Lady Windermere’s Fan, Pride and Prejudice and As You Like It (Gate Theatre), Dublin by Lamplight (Project Arts Centre and Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh) and Juno and the Paycock (Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh). Film and television work includes Calvary, The Guard (Reprisal Films), A Kiss for Jed (Ignition Film Productions), Tonight is Cancelled (Fastnet Films), Adam and Paul (Element Films) and the lead role in the recently completed History’s Future (Vico Films). Mark is also a writer and his work includes screenplays for the films Garage and Adam and Paul, the television series Prosperity and the plays TRADE and The Head of Red O’Brien. He recently provided the text for the award winning production LIPPY. His feature script VIVA recently completed filming in Havana, Cuba.
