Laurence Kinlan

Laurence’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes Christ Deliver Us!, The Playboy of the Western World in a new version by Bisi Adigun and Roddy Doyle, Saved, A Month in the Country, Defender of the Faith and On Such As We. Other theatre credits include The Cripple of Inismaan (Irish, British and US tour) which received a New York Outer Critics’ Circle Award for Best Ensemble, Poor Beast in the Rain (Gate Theatre) for which he received an Irish Times/ESB Theatre Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Television credits include Soft Sand Blue Sea (Channel 4), On Home Ground (RTÉ) and The Bill (ITV). Films include Breakfast on Pluto directed by Neil Jordan, Boy Eats Girl directed by Stephen Bradley, Angela’s Ashes, Intermission, Ned Kelly, Saltwater directed by Conor McPherson, Country directed by Kevin Liddy, Everlasting Peace directed by Barry Levinson, Johnny Was, In Like Flynn and My Boy Jack directed by Brian Kirk. Laurence just finished shooting Love Hate, a four part drama series for RTÉ and The Guard, a feature film directed by John Michael McDonagh.
