Kunle Animashaun
Kunle’s first time working at the Abbey Theatre was on The Playboy of the Western World. He is Artistic Director of Camino de Orula Productions, a professional theatre company commited to fostering intercultural discourse between Africans living in Ireland and the Irish community. During the European year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008, Kunle organised a series of workshops which culminated in a production of Athol Fugard’s Sizwe Bansi is Dead for Irish audiences. He has a BA and post graduate Diploma in English and Drama and has almost completed a Masters at UCD. Theatre credits include The Gods are Not to Blame (Arambe), The Kings of the Kilburn High Road (Dublin Fringe and Notre Dame, Chicago), Othello (UCD) and The Dilemma of a Ghost (Project Arts Centre).
