Kate Brennan
Kate’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes The Playboy of the Western World, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and Saved. Other theatre work includes Caligula (CHRG/Dublin Theatre Festival), Translations (Ouroboros), Salomé (Gate Theatre), Mother Goose (Gaiety Theatre), Macbeth (Second Age) and Sonnets for an Old Century (X-Belair). Kate trained at Ann Kavanagh’s Young Peoples’ Theatre for twelve years during which time she performed in many musicals. While studying drama and theatre in Trinity College she played Dionysus in Euripides’ The Bacchae, Clytemnestra in Agamemnon and the title role in The Skriker at the Samuel Beckett Theatre. Film and television credits include Speed Dating (System Forty Eight) and The Tudors (USA Showtime), Isabella in Fair City and Aoife in RAW (RTÉ). Kate has performed in several plays for radio including the award-winning Twenty-Seven (RTÉ).
