John Cronin
John’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes The Comedy of Errors, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Romeo and Juliet and Saved. Other theatre credits include The Magic Tree (Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh International Festival), Fireworks (Tall Tales), Alone It Stands (Lane Productions, Irish tour), Stuck by Rosaleen McDonagh (Project Arts Centre), Stones in his Pockets (Duchess Theatre, London), Bernard Farrell’s Canaries (Irish tour) and the Irish premiere of The Laramie Project (Samuel Beckett Theatre). Film and television credits include 3 Crosses, Insatiable, Legend (RTÉ), Last Bus Home (Bandit Films), The General (KBS), The Basketful of Wallpaper (Samson Films), Death in Venice (Sky One), Fair City and Cracking Crime (RTÉ). John wrote the short play, Twenty Two, which was produced by Fishamble as part of their award-winning Whereabouts series. As a child he trained at the Maeve Widger School of Drama in Churchtown.
