Jean Kalman
Jean last worked at the Abbey Theatre on Happy Days (National Theatre, London). His lighting design credits include King Lear, The Good Person of Sichuan, The Power Book, Macbeth, Hedda Gabler, Richard III, Olivier Award, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, White Chameleon, Olivier Award (National Theatre, London), Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, The Crucible, Electra, Little Eyolf, Pericles, Evening Standard Award (RSC), Blasted, Motortown, Lucky Dog (Royal Court), The Beautiful Game, Festen, Evening Standard Award (Almeida), The Wasteland (Wilton’s Music Hall) and Cabaret. His work with Peter Brook includes The Cherry Orchard, The Mahabharata, Woza Albert and The Tempest. Jean also works extensively in opera, all over the world.
