Helen’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes The Comedy of Errors, Tarry Flynn (Abbey and Royal National Theatre, London) and Men to the Right, Women to the Left. Other theatre work includes Slattery’s Sago Saga (Performance Corporation), The Flamboyant Bird, (Winner of the Fishamble New Writing Award 2011), Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (Corn Exchange), Ruby Tuesday, Roman Fever (Bewleys Café Theatre), Lil’ Red and Ska8er Jack and The Sunshine Boys (Civic Theatre), Talking to Terrorists (Calypso), Wallflowering (Project Arts Centre, national tour), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Barabbas), Misery (national tour), Dancing at Lughnasa (Northcott Theatre Excter), Moll (New York, Boston), Wired to the Moon (Fishamble), The Importance of Being Earnest (Townhall Galway, national tour), The Last Days of Ollie Deasy (Macnas), As You Like It (Druid), As You Like It (Gate Theatre), Vampirella (Project Arts Centre), West, Don Juan, Fen (Pigsback) and Eddie Bottom’s Dream (Belfast Opera House, national tour). Film and television work includes Penny Dreadful (Showtime), Little Grey Fergie (Ripple World Pictures), The Borgias (Showtime), Roy (BBC), Crisis Eile (TG4), Cracks (Scott Free), Dorothy (Octagon Films), Wide Open Spaces (Grand Pictures), Showbands II, Paths to Freedom, Fair City, Proof (RTÉ), Veronica Guerin (Touchstone), Ella Enchanted (Miramax), A Love Divided (Parallel Films). Helen has also written and directed three short plays for children based on works in the National Gallery of Ireland.
