Gillian McCarthy
Gillian’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes Marble. Other theatre credits include Wuthering Heights (City Theatre Company), Mouth (Articulate Anatomy), Mrs.Warren’s Profession (Yew Tree), The Playboy Of The Western World directed by Garry Hynes as part of DruidSynge, Bolt Upright (Angel-Exit) performed in the 2003 Dublin Fringe Festival and also the Alberquerqe and Santa Fe Theatre Festival 2005.
She graduated from the Bachelor in Acting Studies course at the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin in 2003. She also won a scholarship and trained for a month at the British American Drama Academy, Oxford in 2002. She was nominated Best Female Performance for her roles in Mr.Kolpert and Platonov in The Rep Experiment (Once Off Productions) performed during the 2007 Dublin Fringe Festival.
