Gary’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes A Whistle in the Dark, The House, Translations, The Cavalcaders and Conversations on a Homecoming. Other theatre work includes The Cripple of Inishmaan (National Theatre, London), The Wexford Trilolgy (Tricycle Theatre), Poor Beast in the Rain, A Handful of Stars, Belfry, The Wexford Trilogy (Bush Theatre), Same Old Moon (Nuffield Theatre, Southampton), The Normal Heart, Young Europeans (Project Arts Centre), Pygmalion (Gate Theatre), The Boker Poker Club, Trumpets and Raspberries, The Fire Raisers, What the Butler Saw, Fool for Love (Wexford Arts Centre), The Playboy of the Western World, Sive, The Tinker’s Wedding and The Well of the Saints (Druid). Television credits include Pure Mule,The Clinic for which he won an IFTA (Irish Film and Television Award) for Best Supporting Actor in Television 2005 and 2006, Sinners, Fergus’s Wedding, Sunday, On Home Ground, Bramwell, Seaforth, The Wexford Trilogy, Hard Cases, The Bill and Bergerac. Films include Small Engine Repair, The Country, Leprachauns, Last September, Ordinary Decent Criminal, The Hunted, Michael Collins, Nothing Personal and Strapless.
