Des Cave
Des joined the Abbey School of Acting in 1963. Favourite productions include Dancing at Lughnasa, Philadelphia, Here I Come!, Oedipus Rex, Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure, Translations, The Cherry Orchard, The Shadow of a Gunman, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and The Plough and the Stars. More recent work includes The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, An Ideal Husband, The Burial at Thebes, The Recruiting Officer, The Crucible and The School for Scandal. He has toured extensively with the Abbey in Ireland, UK, USA, Europe and Australia. He has appeared in many other theatres including the Gate and the Olympia. Television and film credits include Paddy, Philadelphia, Here I Come!, The Ambassador, Country, The General, Veronica Guerin and Omagh.
