Denis’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes Perve, The Rivals, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, An Ideal Husband, Three Sisters, The Seafarer, Romeo and Juliet, The Crucible, Julius Caesar, Big Love, Burial at Thebes, Fool for Love and Woman and Scarecrow. Other theatre work includes Hay Fever, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Death of a Salesman, All My Sons, Faith Healer, Hedda Gabler and Festen (Gate Theatre), The Importance of Being Earnest, Sodome, My Love (Winner Best Sound Irish Times Theatre Awards 2010), Solemn Mass for a Full Moon in Summer, Life is a Dream, Attempts on Her Life and Don Carlos (Rough Magic), Man of Valour (Winner Best Design ABSOLUT Fringe Award), Happy Days and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (The Corn Exchange), Hamlet and A Doll’s House (Second Age), Silent and The Pride of Parnell Street (Fishamble), The Giant Blue Hand (The Ark), The Shawshank Redemption (Lane Productions), Macbeth and Titus Andronicus (Siren Productions). Film work includes music for His and Hers, Undressing My Mother and Useless Dog for which he won Best Soundtrack at the 2005 European Short Film Biennale in Stuttgart (Venom Films).Television work includes Gualainn le Gualainn (Fastnet Films) and the documentary series The Limits of Liberty (South Wind Blows) performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. This year Denis is a participant in Rough Magic’s Advance programme.
