Deirdre’s previous work at the Abbey Theatre includes Bookworms (2010), Rites, In the Shadow of the Glen, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Scatterin’, The Whiteheaded Boy, Sceal Scealai Eile, Blood Wedding, The Gathering, The Vicar of Wakefield, Twelfth Night, Tarry Flynn, A Short Walk to the Sea, Catchpenny Twist, Epitaph Under Ether, The Well of the Saints, The Blue Macushla, Scenes from an Album, All My Sons, Not I, Too Late for Logic, Drama at Inish, She Stoops to Folly, Da, A Month in the Country, The Crucible, The Big House and An Ideal Husband. Deirdre trained at the Abbey School of Acting and was a member of the Abbey Company from 1972 – 1975.
