Conor’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes The Resistible Rise of Artuo Ui, Woman and Scarecrow, The Crucible and The Rivals. Other theatre work includes The Real Thing (Gate Theatre), Life is a Dream, Attempts on Her Life and Dream of Autumn (Rough Magic), The Last Days of the Celtic Tiger (Landmark Productions), Hoors (Traverse), The Birthday Party (Bristol Old Vic), The Playboy of the Western World and Major Barbara (Royal Exchange, Manchester), Measure for Measure (English Touring Theatre), Salomé (Riverside Studios), Summer Begins (Donmar Warehouse) and The Decameron (Gate Theatre, London). Opera designs includes sets and costumes for The Magic Flute (Korean National Opera), Salomé (Opéra National de Montpellier), The Rake’s Progress (Angers Nantes Opéra), Powder Her Face (Royal Opera House), The Turn of the Screw, La Boheme and Wake (Nationale Reisopera, Holland), Pierrot Lunaire (Almeida Opera), Susannah, winner of the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Opera 2005 (Wexford), Powder Her Face and The Rape of Lucretia (Flanders Opera), Greek (Queen Elizabeth Hall and tour of UK and France), The Country of the Blind (Aldeburgh Festival and QEH), The Lighthouse (Neue Oper Wien), The Marriage of Figaro (Grange Park Opera), The Barber of Seville (Cork), The Fair Maid of Perth (Buxton Festival), La Bohème (Augsburg, Germany), Un Ballo in Maschera, The Flying Dutchman (Opera Zuid, Holland) and world premieres of Facing Goya by Michael Nyman (tour of Spain and Italy) and Die Versicherung by Jan Müller Wieland (Darmstadt). He has also designed sets for Olav Tryggvasson (Norwegian Opera) and Il Trovatore (English National Opera). Designs for dance include The Four Seasons (Birmingham Royal Ballet), Attempting Beauty (Munich), Giselle, Summer Night’s Dream and Carmen (Donlon Dance Company, Saarbrücken). Conor trained at Wimbledon School of Art in London gaining a first class honours degree in Theatre Design and later an MA in Scenography in Utrecht, Holland.He is currently designing sets and costumes for Lohengrin (Royal Swedish Opera)
