Ciarán O’Melia
This is Ciarán’s first time working at the Abbey Theatre. He works as a freelance designer and theatre practitioner. Recent projects include As you are now so once were we, nominated Best Design ABSOLUT Fringe ‘10 and Who is Fergus Kilpatrick? (The Company), Year of Magical Wanking, WERK, Woman in Progress (THISISPOPBABY), The Big Deal, 565+, Victor & Gord (Una McKevitt), Una Santa Oscura (Playgroup/the Project Arts Centre), Shane Byrne Left his Sleeping Bag in the Car Again, Group Therapy for One and THEATREclub Stole Your Clock Radio What The Fuck You Gonna Do About It? (THEATREclub), Silver Stars (Brokentalkers), The Piggyback Project and Phaedra’s Love, Winner Best Production Irish Times Theatre Awards 2008 (Loose Canon). He will next be seen on stage in his solo show LaMelia: A Late Night Lullaby as part of THEATRE MACHINE TURNS YOU ON: Vol II at the Project Arts Centre. He is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Theatre Studies, Trinity College Dublin.
