Bríd Ní Neachtain
Bríd has worked extensively at the Abbey Theatre since the 1980s. Plays include Boss Grady’s Boys, The Mai, Portia Coughlan, The Lower Depths, The Cherry Orchard, The Playboy of the Western World (Hong Kong Arts Festival), The Silver Dollar Boys, The Great Hunger (Edinburgh Festival, London, Paris, New York, Moscow), Mary Makebelieve, Translations, Dancing at Lughnasa (National Theatre London, the West End and Broadway), Woman and Scarecrow and Macbeth. Other theatre work includes Consenting Adults (Fishamble), Hansel and Gretel (Storytellers), Juno and the Paycock (Cork Opera House and ART), There Came a Gypsy Riding (Livin’ Dred and Nomad), Here We Are Again Still (Galway Arts Centre and national tour), The Field (Olympia Theatre), The Cripple of Inishmaan and Cré Na Cille, Irish Times/ESB Theatre Award nomination for Best Actress, (Taidhbhearc na Gaillimhe). Film and television credits include The Family (BBC/RTÉ), Dying for a Drink, Pure Mule, Love is the Drug, The Clinic, Fair City, Ros Na Rún, Lipservice, Clare sa Spéir, Rásaí na Gaillimhe and Cré Na Cille, Best Actress Irish Film and Television Award (TG4).
