Nick Dunning

Nick’s work at the Abbey Theatre includes The Seafarer, The Rivals, The School for Scandal, The Cherry Orchard, Henry IV, That Was Then, Mrs Warren’s Profession, The Marriage of Figaro and The Last Ones. Work with the Gate Theatre includes Harold Pinter’s Celebration, No Man’s Land with Michael Gambon and David Walliams (West End, London transfer), The Price, The Homeplace (West End Transfer), Betrayal for which he won the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor 2005, The Homecoming (West End transfer and Broadway) and The Misanthrope. Other theatre credits include King Philip of Spain in Don Carlos, for which he received the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Actor 2006 (Rough Magic), The Drunkard (b*spoke), The Taming of the Shrew, Happy End (Royal Shakespeare Company), Richard II, Countrymania, The Wandering Jew (National Theatre, London), Our Country’s Good, The Recruiting Officer, Doing the Business, Glasshouses, Beside Herself (Royal Court), Othello (Lyric Hammersmith) and twelve shows with Shared Experience. Television credits include Injustice, new ITV series to be shown this autumn, The Tudors (IFTA for Best Supporting Actor), Foyles War, The Firm, Hughie Green, The Bill, Saracen, El Cid, The Rory Bremner Show, The Roughest Way, The Rita Rudner Show, Events at Drimaghleen, Alive and Kicking, Resnick, Minder II, Boon, Casualty, Between the Lines, Sister My Sister, Medics, A Few Short Journeys of the Heart, Drop the Dead Donkey, Wycliffe, Sharman, Into the Blue, Making the Cut, The Ambassador, Midsomer Murders, Vanity Fair, Surgical Two, Dangerfield, Ultimate Force, Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Kavanagh QC, Malice Aforethought, Waking the Dead, Whistleblower and The Young Ones.
