Mary Raftery, R.I.P. - A Tribute

The staff of the Abbey Theatre are saddened by the news of Mary Raftery’s death today. She was an extraordinary person and a fearless journalist and played a critical role in Irish life. The Abbey Theatre was proud to produce her documentary play NO ESCAPE in 2010. It was an inspirational experience working with Mary. Our thoughts are with her husband David and son Ben at this time.
