Casting for Bookworms Begins
Casting is now underway for Bernard Farrell’s new play Bookworms
Bookworms brings us into the world of bookclubs, suburbia and post celtic tiger Ireland. This is very much Bernard Farrell territory and we can look forward to seeing his hilarious take on a society which seemed to have it all now delve into freefall.
You can bring your own bookclub along and meet for a pre-show coffee or better still a G&T in the Abbey Bar! Discounted tickets available for groups of 6 or more. Please call 01 87 87 222 for more details.
Celebrated playwright Bernard Farrell has a long association with the Abbey Theatre. His first play I Do Not Like Thee, Doctor Fell was produced by the Abbey Theatre in 1979 and went on to be world-famous. Some of his other best loved plays seen at the Abbey include Canaries, All In Favour Said No!, Kevin’s Bed, The Last Apache Reunion and Lovers At Versailles. We are delighted to present this world premiere of his latest work.
Bookworms runs from 22 May – 10 July.
