Bookworms opening night

Bookworms had a fantastic opening night on 1 June

There was a wonderful reaction to Bernard Farrell’s Bookworms on 1 June. There was a great buzz of excitment among the audience which included Minister Mary Hanafitn TD, Anjelica Houston, Frank McGuinness, Olivia Mitchell, Conor McPherson, Billy Roche, Gay Byrne and of course the author, Bernard Farrell.

The cast for Bookworms of Phelim Drew, Deirdre Donnelly, Liz Fitzgibbon, Karen Egan, Louis Lovett, Michael Glenn Murphy and Marion O’Dwyer performed brilliantly and had audiences rocking with laughter.

Bookworms brings us into the world of bookclubs, suburbia and post celtic tiger Ireland. This is very much Bernard Farrell territory and you can look forward to seeing his hilarious take on a society which seemed to have it all now delve into freefall. Why not bring your own book club? You could meet for a pre-show coffee or better still a G&T in the Abbey Bar! Discounted tickets available for groups of 6 or more. Please call 01 87 87 222 for more details.

Bookworms runs until10 July
