Workshops for students, teachers, amateur drama societies and more!
Join us for one of our upcoming workshops, and enjoy a little more drama in your life.
There is a workshop for everyone this year at the Abbey.
In March we will hold two workshops especially for students and members of university clubs and societies. These sessions, which will focus on Thomas Kilroy’s new play Christ Deliver Us!, will give the theatre-makers of the future a chance to steal the spotlight and tread the boards of the Abbey stage. Find out more here.
We have also programmed a workshop for teachers, based around our production of Christ Deliver Us!. This course will give teachers a chance to learn more about our work onstage, and to develop new and creative approaches to their own work with students in the classroom.
Following the success of our recent Talking Text voice workshops for The Comedy of Errors and The Rivals we will hold two more in this series this year, around our upcoming productions Macbeth and The Plough and the Stars. Drama enthusiasts from 17 and up will be welcomed onto the Abbey stage for a half day voice workshop with our Voice Director, Andrea Ainsworth, using text from these two plays. For more information click here.
We will also be programming a workshop for members of amateur drama societies, based around our upcoming production of Bernard Farrell’s Bookworms. More details will be announced very soon so make sure you keep an eye on the Engage and Learn section of the website.
You can book for any of our workshops online, or by phoning Box Office on 01 87 87 222.
