Unique workshop for amateur drama enthusiasts
Abbey Theatre Voice Director Andrea Ainsworth will lead a workshop specially designed for members of amateur drama companies on Saturday 19 June.
This day-long workshop will be divided between work in our Rehearsal Room and a session on the Abbey stage. You will spend the day exploring the potential of your voice and how to use it in a large space. The morning session will look at exercises designed to open up colour, range and clarity making your voice freer and more expressive. The afternoon session will be text based.
Group size is limited to ensure individual attention. Please wear clothing you can move in.
Saturday 19 June
10.30 am – 4.30pm
Tickets: €75 (includes a ticket to the evening performance, workshop and light lunch)

I am hoping to direct an amature production of the “PLOUGH”,Our group is the,Boden
Drama Group,we are based at,Ballyboden st endas,Gaa club.
I went to see the production in the Abbey and was very impressed,the acting was very good
and the Direction second to none.
We hope to put it on in spring of next year,read and cast it before christmas,all depends on us getting the rights.
To this end can you tell us if the abbey run will end on 25 september?,as the drama
league seem in the dark about this.
Thanks for a brilliant production,the buzz on the way out of the Theatre was electric.
