Saw the play last night and in my theatre going history, this was one of the most boring, puzling and pointless play. The publicity speaks of the ‘ordinary becoming extraordinary’ - yet it was hard to make sense of the sequence of events, or make any other links between the three stories although, clearly one of the mother of the other, and one fucked and eventually killed the other. Gratuitous foul language goes normally bother me, if it has a point, but here it had none, nor did the gratuitous violence spoken about. The logic was loose and although the actors performed a heroic task of speaking their lengthy monologues, I was seriously considering leaving the auditorium and didn’t do so only out of respect for the actors and other audience members.
