Costume Department


Our Costume Department has amassed its enormous collection into a highly efficient hiring facility. It is primarily geared at the wider arts community and is an ideal resource for professional theatre, amateur dramatics, opera, advertising, television, video, films or photographic shoots.

The costumes on offer range from both period and contemporary clothes, broken down/distressed items, military/uniforms, workwear, ecclesiastical wear and accessories. This stock was created by the Costume Department for a varied range of productions seen on our stages over many years. You should be able to find what you need for a full stage production.

Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am to 4.30pm by appointment only.

Hi there,

Just wondering if you rent props.
Our Drama club is staging a play based on a flying column in West Waterford and we’re trying to source weapons, rifles revolvers etc suitable to the time.
Any help in this would be much appreciated

Visited the abbey October last for a performance of ‘Juno and the peacock’. Found the whole event one of utter magic and heartfelt tears. So different from the the ‘stuffy’ theatres of the UK. Would have no hesitation in recommending the Abbey to all.
