Continuing the national theatre’s commitment to touring at home and abroad, Carmel Winters’ much applauded production of B for Baby will go on a national tour of Ireland after a run at the Tampere Theatre Festival, Finland with the help and support of the Arts Council and Culture Ireland. Originally commissioned by Theatre Lovett, Mikel Murfi directs Carmel Winters’ play. B for Baby will visit theatres across Ireland including Belfast, Navan, Drogheda, Portlaoise, Wicklow, Carlow, Longford, Roscommon, Galway, Cork, Tralee, Letterkenny and Sligo. It also returns to the Peacock stage for a run in November. B for Baby won Best New Play at the 2010 Irish Times Theatre Awards and Carmel Winters is one of Ireland’s finest new writers, for both stage and screen.
